Flying into NYC:
For domestic guests, it is recommended to fly into LaGuardia for proximity to wedding events (about 15-20 mins taxi/Uber).
For international guests, Newark and JFK are your options – JFK is closer to the wedding events (45 mins taxi/Uber or 1 hr on public transit).
Getting around NYC:
If SJ hasn’t already forced you to do so, we recommend you to download Citymapper (available in the App Store & Google Play).
Although SJ used to do their PR and therefore is obligated to say good things about them, she honestly thinks it is the best journey-planning app to get around NYC!
Recommended hotels
We know that NYC can be very expensive, so we wanted to provide a range of options. We also currently have a discount code to the Penny Williamsburg which is central to the activities and a great option.

Greenpoint, Brooklyn
The Franklin Guesthouse is located in a charming part of Greenpoint near the East River. It offers proximity to excellent restaraunts and introduces you to the magic of the swankier part of the neighborhood.

This hotel is near subway stations and has rooms with double beds/sofa-beds, which might be good for a group on a budget. While not the most scenic walk, it's under 20 mins walk to the venue or a quick Uber.

This is a solidly nice hotel for a good price (~$250) that is a very quick drive to wedding activities. The catch is it is set in a very industrial area (as much of Long Island City still is) and not particularly close to transit (though they provide a free shuttle to the subway), so you may be taking Ubers to get around.
